Maroulis OUT!

Last night on American Idol (I should know better...but I am a fan!) the Prince of Pout, Constantine Maroulis got the boot. Perhaps that was what he was thinking of when doing all those perfomance kicks. I'm glad there is only one rocker left, Bo Bice. This way, the rocker vote won't be diluted a la Ralph Nader or Ross Perot...Anyway, I'm pulling for Bo or Carrie Underwood. For those "haters" out there, tell the truth, the Kelly Clarkson song, "Since You've Been Gone" sort of rocks, don't it?

I do like that Kelly Clarkson song daveB, but I still think it's pathetic how they are trying to manufacture her into a huge pop star. Not that there's anything wrong with manufacturing pop stars, I happen to love Britney and Christina and the others, but Kelly Clarkson has hit her peak. She's a great singer but not HOT enough to be any bigger than the mediocre she is now. By the way, I believe that "Since You Were Gone" was written by Avril Lavigne and given to Kelly Clarkson (as in they probably have the same producer/label and made Avril hand over a hit to Kelly). Just my theory. I also have sung "Since You've Been Gone" at Karaoke, with aplomb!
